Here's a brief blog to get things rolling on this blog. I'm super busy and super excited about this summer alone, forget about the fall. Busy because I am working on my fund development for the next year as well as beginning to plan and think through plans for kicking off the AA chapter this fall and super excited because I believe that I/we really desperately need God's help to be able to pull off any of the things I'm working on this summer and therefore will see amazing things done!
The summer so far has been great and divided into my life before Emily's wedding and after Emily's wedding! After Emily's wedding I have been super busy working at BN, watching BattleStar Galactica, doing InterVarsity fund development and ministry work, and trying to work out regularly with my staff team. I'm excited to say I'm running up to two miles now, which is completely unheard of for me. Alvin (as our AA president) and I will be meeting this weekend to start ironing out some plans and things that just need to get done for us to be official on campus this coming fall. I am also spending time regularly with the staff team and it's been encouraging community for me.
I'm excited about posting on this blog and being able to stay in contact with everyone around the US and around the world. But also because I have a lot of ongoing thoughts about Asian American issues and ministry today and would love to be able to extrovert some of those here and hear some input. I have done some posting on the topic at my current personal blog, which can be found here. I think that a language for talking about and discussing Asian American issues and a vision for what a truly biblical Asian American community looks like is very underdeveloped in the United States and look forward to being encouraged by being able to talk in community about these things.
